For the record Chevrolet is my brand of choice! My hobbies are my El Caminos. Everyone has a
favorite, I guess. I like most of the V8 cars and trucks that Chevrolet / GM has produced. I am a
big fan of V8 (Mouse & Rat) motors and GM just seems to have the good stuff. Actually I am
not really impressed with the newest stuff, yes they have one or two that I like a lot still but that
is about the extent of it. I like big power, fast cars and really good looking and innovative paint
and bodywork. Chevrolet has the lines that make it work for me. Stop by my hobby project pages
and check them out.
GM stopped manufacturing the El Camino and the GMC version (the Sprint) in 1987, officially. There are rumors that some
El Camino were made in 1988 however it is believed that these were pretty much leftovers from 1987, I haven't seen any
real proof that one exists. The El Camino was first manufactured in 1959 on the Impala frame and Chevrolet produced
them for only two years, 59 & 60 (the "First Generation").

In 1964 with Chevrolet producing a mid sized car, now called the "Chevelle" Chevrolet decided that it would use the
Chevelle Station Wagon chassis and produce, once again, the El Camino. Needless to say it picked up in popularity and was
a hit with a lot of drivers. It looked like a car from the front but had a bed like a Pickup Truck, and the debate started, was
it a Car or was it a Truck? For my purposes it
is a two seat Sport Car with a bed to keep down insurance costs.
My first purchase was my 1976 then came the 1980 SS and finally my 1972 400 Custom. While "Officially" the 72 is the only one considered as a muscle car, that era
ended with 1972 being the last year, all of my trucks are or will be my Muscle Cars. I decided to put them on the net for all those that want to look. My stories for
each are a bit different and, for the most part, none are as they were from the factory. I am always working on at least one, currently my active project is my 1980
Super Sport. It is a project that is four years in the making and, to date, is the most detailed and aggressive endeavor I have taken on. It is a full off frame
Customization with every part being touched, cleaned, repaired, or replaced and upgraded. One day I hope to own one of each of the five generations of the Chevrolet
El Camino. I hope that you enjoy the stories as much as I enjoyed building them.
About this Site:

I've tried to make this easy to navigate. I have lots of images throughout this site that are click-able to show larger images and some even have mouse over images. I
have found that with Internet Explorer the Java applets seem to work pretty good. With
Mozilla, which I happen to use most, some Java things just don't act right
however, with
Mozilla you can right click on a Mouse Over image to bring the other image up for full screen viewing. With Internet Explorer some of my page links
don't work. Sorry every browser has it's flavors and they just aren't compatible 100%. That being said, it's about my trucks not Netscape or IE so if you have some
difficulty with one try the other. The point comes through with both.

I show as many pictures of the things I did, got and tried, as possible. I describe each project and each step I made as best I can/could remember. Select a project site
from the menu, top left, to go to a Project site or my links page, picture album, etc.. I am sure there is / will be lots of stuff I left out here and there. So, if you have
any questions or have a suggestion on something regarding the content of my site. I am from Texas so some of my euphemisms and phrases are possibly Region
Specific Slang. I tried to stray away from those phrases and terms but still they are in me and will show up in my writing. My mail box is below.

If you are looking for parts for your El Camino or Chevelle Try my links! I got my parts from some of the places I have links to and I have links specifically for El
Caminos. I don't have any cookies doing any tracking this is my own page I pay for it so no one is looking for your information here.

Finally, This site, like my El Caminos, is under Construction! Sorry but bare with me.

Have Fun and thanks!
